Accessing Your Study Guide
Getting Started
There are three ways in which you might access your Oxford Insight Study Guide. Reference your syllabus or speak with your instructor about how you are to access Oxford Insight.
- Through Your School's LMS: You are using Oxford Insight with Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, or another learning management system.
- Through Oxford Learning Cloud: Your instructor has elected to assign Oxford Insight via Oxford’s cloud-based learning management system.
- Through Oxford Learning Link: Your instructor has NOT assigned the tool in any way, and you want to access Oxford Insight for self-study.
Access Option 1: Through Your LMS
Step 1: Navigate & Login
First, log in to your institution’s learning management system (LMS) and access your course.
Step 2: Activate Access
Navigate and click to access Oxford Insight Study Guide. The first time you attempt to access the study guide, you will be prompted to unlock access by entering a redemption code, purchasing access, or starting a free trial.
- If you select “Redeem an access code,” you’ll be prompted to enter the access code you received with the purchase of your book or through your bookstore, then click “Redeem.” You’ll then have access for the duration of time denoted with the code.
- If you select “Purchase access with a Credit Card,”you’ll be prompted to checkout with PayPal. You will notice that much of the information has been populated. Finished entering your information, click “Continue,” and follow the prompts to process your purchase.
- If you select “Begin a trial,” you will have full access to the Study Guide and all other protected resources for the duration of the trial length specified on the screen. After the completion of the trial period, you will be prompted to redeem an access code or purchase access in order to continue accessing protected content. OUP will automatically count down the days of your free trial. All of your work during the trial period will be saved.
Step 3: Use
Return to your course in your institution’s LMS; then open the Oxford Insight Study Guide again. Notice that it’s no longer locked.

Access Option 2: Through Oxford Learning Cloud
Step 1: Navigate & Login
First, visit the unique URL for your Learning Cloud course provided by your instructor. For example: https://oup.instructure.com/enroll/XXXXXX
Within your course, you’ll be prompted to either login or create an OUP Instructure account.
Step 2: Activate Access
Once you successfully access your Oxford Learning Cloud course, navigate and click to access Oxford Insight Study Guide. The first time you attempt to access the study guide, you will be prompted to unlock access by entering a redemption code, purchasing access, or starting a free trial.
- If you select “Redeem an access code,” you’ll be prompted to enter the access code you received with the purchase of your book or through your bookstore, then click “Redeem.” You’ll then have access for the duration of time denoted with the code

Step 3: Use
After gaining access to the ‘locked’ Study Guide content, you’re now able to begin using Oxford Insight Study Guide and other content in your Oxford Learning Cloud course.

Access Option 3: Through Oxford Learning Link (self-study ONLY)
Step 1: Navigate & Login
Navigate to the Oxford Learning Link site for your title by using the URL printed with your book or accompanying access code (which usually begins with www.oup.com/he/ followed by the author’s last name and edition number), OR by going to https://learninglink.oup.com and entering your book’s author’s last name or book title in the search field at the top of the page.
If multiple editions appear, select the edition you are using and then navigate to Student Resources.
Under “Need access to ‘locked’ resources?”, click “login.”
- If you have used Oxford Learning Link previously, log in using your credentials.
- If you do not already have an account, you will need to create a free account by clicking “Create Account” (below the login fields) and completing the registration form. If you have an access code for the Oxford Insight Study Guide and other digital course materials accompanying your text, you may enter it during the registration process.
Step 2: Activate Access
Once logged in, return to your title’s Student Resources page and notice that you can now select “click here” under “Need access to ‘locked’ resources?” to activate access.
Follow the prompts to gain access by entering a redemption code, purchasing access, or starting a free trial. (If you did not already do this during the registration process above.)

Step 3: Use
Once you’ve activated your access, you’ll be brought back to your title’s Student Resources page. Notice that all resources that had previously been locked are now unlocked and you can begin using the resources.
Navigate to Oxford Insight Study Guide (which may be nested under “Resources” or another item on the resource menu) and click to begin using the tool.
