StatTutors

StatTutors are formative assignments scored on completion. In these assignments, students work through a statistics process and answer questions before they move on to the next step. Students can change their answers an unlimited number of times to get to the correct answer. Hints and feedback are provided as students move through the activity. StatTutors are graded based on percentage completed; students receive full credit if they work the activity until they reach the end. 

Note: The option that students select for downloads of StatTutor datasets becomes the default option throughout the course. 

Statistics Software

Formative activities and assignments throughout the course ask students to use a statistics software package. The course currently supports instructions for 11 different packages. Students can change the instructions in the activity by selecting the drop-down Alternatives and changing the software. Once a student selects a package, the rest of the activities in the course default to that package. Institutions and instructors can decide if all students should use the same package or choose their own.
