Adaptive Activity: Getting Ready

Getting Ready Activities

Getting Ready activities are adaptive components that test your knowledge of key prerequisite topics that you should know before beginning the course. The Getting Ready Check is an adaptive assessment that delivers a series of questions that are measured against learning objectives.

The number of questions in each Getting Ready Check varies based on your performance. At the end of the assessment, you may encounter additional pages of prerequisite material tied to your performance. This personalized instruction prepares you for success in the course.

Student Experience

You will encounter a Getting Ready Check once at the beginning of the course. Questions are tied to learning objectives in the course. If you demonstrate mastery of a topic, you will receive additional questions related to other learning objectives until you complete the assessment.

The Getting Ready Check gauges student mastery only. You cannot re-take the Getting Ready Check to improve your outcome.

After you have completed the assessment, you will be informed about any prerequisite topics for which you will receive content. Those pages will appear in the Navigation menu and help you prepare for the course content.
